SMT 2004 Blazing Star Awards Honor Area Student Actors
Tony’s for teens? You bet. Seaside Music Theater invites one and all to attend its 3rd Annual Blazing Star Awards, honoring talented high school thespians, which will be held at SMT Downtown on Friday, May 7, 2004, at 7:00 p.m. While our school system places heavy emphasis on our area's athletic stars, little is done to reward our artists. Young theatrical performers deserve recognition for the hard work and dedication they pour into their musical roles, and SMT would like the Greater Volusia County area to join us in honoring their talent.

STUDENT ADVISORY BOARD presents The 4th Annual Life Is A Cabaret Benefit: DEAR MOTHER A musical tribute to moms & motherhood.
This variety show, which features material from current and past Broadway and Off-Broadway musicals, pays tribute to moms and motherhood with an eclectic assortment of touching ballads, energetic dance numbers, and humorous scenes and monologues selected and performed by Volusia and Flagler counties' talented up-and-comers.

Florida Monthly Magazine has named Seaside Music Theater Florida's Best Performing Arts Center and Best Professional Theater, as a result of its 8th Annual Best of Florida Awards. Readers voted for the best of the best that the Sunshine State has to offer in more than 140 categories, ranging from “Best Boutique” and “Best Florida Entertainer/Group” to “Best-Looking Lighthouse” and “Best Restaurant.” The Eighth Annual Best of Florida Award winners range from all areas of the state, running from Pensacola all the way to Key West. Seaside Music Theater accepts this honor with pride. Thank you to all of the patrons and supporters who voted for us.
