Tagline

Puccini's romantic look into the world of artists and students in the Paris of the 1840's.

Synopsis

Passions run high among the young. The fire burning in the collective soul of artists, philosophers and dreamers can drive them to creative heights, but cannot protect them from the reality of life in Paris' Latin Quarter in the mid-1800's.

Amid the poverty, hunger and cold, love manages to spark in the warm glow of moonlight. Rudolfo is a poet, embroidering words into elequent jewels, and Mimi is a seamstress who embroiders the flowers of dreams.

But jealousy flares, tempers rage, and sacrifices are made. The innocence of high ideals and lofty principles are challenged, and love everlasting comes at a great price.

Set to the most romantic music of all time, and sung in English, Puccini's La Boheme remains one of the world's greatest operas.
