Our Professional and Courteous Staff is ready
to bring your production to life.
Seaside Music Theater's costume division has been in existence as a production house for almost 20 years, having designed and created costumes for over 150 productions. From the beginning, we decided to make these creations available to other theaters, educational institutions, and arts organizations. Our costumes have graced stages from California to Maine, and have recently been exhibited in our city's Museum of Arts and Sciences. Our permanent staff of 10 provides the labor base that allows thousands of costumes to be manufactured onsite, with the assistance of over 40 seasonal guest designers and technicians. The 5500 square foot workshop is connected to a space of equal size that houses the extensive costume inventory.
Within any given year, our show produces as many as 500 original costumes for a minimum of ten productions for our stage. Meticulous research and planning to into the creation of each garment. Fabrics and trimmings are selected froma variety of national sources, with the majority of them being obtained during an annual two-week shopping trip to New York's fabric district. Great expense and labor go into producing some of the highest quality costumes in the country for our stage and for yours.
